Puspita Sen is a Quality Health Care Professional (QHP), specializing in trauma and addictive disorders. She has more than 16 years of experience in the mental health community and human services field with an emphasis on wellness, recovery, leadership, research, education, and therapeutic change in individuals and at a community level. As a psychotherapist, she provides individual and group psychotherapy to clients with trauma, addiction and other related mental distress based on non-deficit, solution-focused model of person-centered psychotherapy. She occasionally uses hypnotherapy in some trauma and anxiety specific situations to ease acute emotional distress while empowers clients to achieve recovery.
Puspita is internationally certified as an Alcohol & Drug Counselor. She worked with the New York State Army National Guard as the Director of Psychological Health, and consults with various outpatient clinics, supervising clinicians who are working to attain their New York State Mental Health license [LMHC].
She is also certified by the American Psychotherapy & Medical Hypnosis Association as a clinical hypnotherapist. She is a member of Chi Sigma Iota – Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society International and a Compassion Fatigue Educator, Certified by the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology. She also volunteers her services to ‘Give an hour’ for our service men, women and their families.
