A person’s food intake affects mood, behavior, and brain function. What you eat can make you feel irritable and restless or calm and satisfied. Food can make you sleepy or productive, apathetic or moody. Research is showing that some foods can have a lasting influence on mood and mental wellbeing because of the impact they have on the structure and functioning of the brain.
