Position Summary
We are currently seeking a licensed psychotherapist to provide therapeutic services for individuals currently supervised by the Northern District of New York. This clinician must be skilled in providing individual, relationship and group therapy and is able to address a wide range of issues in a community mental health setting. The right candidate must be comfortable assessing and seeing adults which may or may not be mandated to treatment. LCSW, LCSW-R or LMHC licensed to practice in New York State and eligible to participate on health insurance provider panels required.

Job Requirements
• Counseling and Therapy Responsibilities
• Provide culturally competent counseling services to clients both in-person and through phone appointments if requested
• Accurately assess client needs and strengths
• Develop treatment plans with clients
• Prepare progress notes and document client contacts in an electronic medical system
• Provide some on-call crisis phone counseling when necessary
• Provide for safety and confidentiality of clients and staff
• Complete and provide documentation as required to maintain program contracts
• Participate in monthly agency clinical and staff meetings, and any required training
• Positively represent our Agency
Qualifications
• Medical, master’s degree or doctorate from an accredited university
• State of New York – Licensed Psychologist, (PSYD or PHD), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) — Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist —(LMFT), or MD/DO/PNP required
• Active provider status with one or more regional / national health plans
• Knowledge of and skills related to one or more: individual therapy, family therapy, play therapy, group therapy and couples therapy
• Knowledge of ethical and professional standards
• Ability and willingness to function as active and cooperative member of a professional team
Work Hours and Locations
This is a per diem position with flexibility in choosing hours. Some evening hours will be required. The applicant must be flexible to meet client and program needs. This position is hybrid with some work in the office and some remote.
